Te Kahūi Whakamana Wāhine helps women understand the impacts abuse and violence has on their mental, emotional (hinengaro), physical (tinana), spiritual (wairua, āhua) and that of family/whānau members, especially children.
Specific themes include:
- Personal empowerment
- Self-care and self-esteem
- Resilience
- Comprehensive Safety Planning
- Beliefs, values and attitudes
- Recognising and understanding the dynamics of family violence
- Goal Setting and Future Path-way Planning
The programme is free and open to all women
